At Bar-M, food safety is our top priority. SQF Certified every year since 2012, we are committed to the Global Food Safety Initiative. We operate under strict USDA and FSIS standards and regulations.  All testing is conducted with accredited laboratories, and our Quality Control team brings over 100 years of combined expertise to ensure every product meets the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Through the continuous improvement of our SQF- and GFSI-recognized programs, supported by long-standing Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Evaluation protocols, we uphold defined food safety objectives while meeting the missions of SQFI, GFSI, and FSIS.

SQFI Mission

Since 2000, the SQF Institute has been an active participant in the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and, since 2004, has been benchmarked to the highest international standards. Today, more than 13,000 sites across six continents are SQF-certified, supported by protocols recognized by the International Accreditation Forum.

With over 20 years of expertise, GFSI drives continuous improvement in food safety management systems, harmonizing global standards to support growing populations and strengthen markets that deliver safe food everywhere.

USDA / FSIS Mission

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), a USDA agency, protects the nation’s meat, poultry, and egg supply by ensuring products are safe, wholesome, and accurately labeled. FSIS enforces federal food safety laws and uses science-based inspections to prevent foodborne illness.
